Welcome to 2011

Happy New Year from the Fairfield books team. Can’t believe it’s 2011, have to get used to writing dates with ’11 at the end! Hope everyone had a merry and safe holiday season.

We’re open as of today, Tuesday 4th of January 6 days a week for the rest of Jan (closed Mondays).  Tuesday – Friday our hours are 10am – 5pm for now, weekends is business as usual.

Like for example…Never Let Me Go by Kazou Ishiguro is a few years old now, but still one we take care to keep on the shelf. Booker prize shortlisted in its time, there’s a beautiful-looking film directed by Mark Romanek (One Hour Photo) coming out this year starring Keira Knightley (Atonement), Carey Mulligan (An Education) and Andrew Garfield (The Social Network). So this month sees the release of a film-tie in edition of the book which arrived today (pictured). A great read that you might’ve missed.
