Man Booker Prize 2012

The 2012 Man Booker Prize has been awarded to Hilary Mantel for her fabulous novel Bring Up the Bodies. She is only the third person ever (after Peter Carey and J.M Coetzee) to win the award twice, but the first ever Briton, and of course the first woman, to do so. Ms Mantel is also the first person to win the prize for a sequel to a novel which also won the Man Booker Prize – Wolf Hall won the coveted award in 2009. We have the trade paperback of Bring Up the Bodies in stock for $33. We also have a very special limited edition hardback signed by the author, which is sure to become a collector’s item, for $55. And if you haven’t read Hilary Mantel at all, I suggest you begin at the beginning – we have Wolf Hall in stock for $20. Both books are highly recommended, and congratulations to Hilary Mantel for a very well-deserved win!!
