The queen of teen writing, Louise Rennison, is back with another hilarious romp through the trials and tribulations of our formative years.  Following on from the mega-successful Confessions of Georgia Nicholson series (that began with Angus, Thongs and Full-frontal Snogging), we see Georgia’s cousin, fourteen and a half year old Tallulah Casey, a wannabe actress, head to the hills for a summer of acting camp.

Picture the scene: the very eccentric Dother Hall performing arts college in the wilds of the Yorkshire Dales, surrounded by bearded cheesemaking villagers (male and female) and wildlife of the squirrely-type.  Zut alors and sacre bleu!!

On the whole, it′s not quite the showbiz experience Tallulah was expecting… but once her mates turn up and they start their ′FAME! I′m gonna liiiiive foreeeeeever, I′m gonna fill my tiiiiights′ summer course things are bound to perk up!!  Especially when the boys arrive. (When DO the boys arrive?)

A six-week summer course = six weeks of parent-free freedom.  Freedom of expression… because it′s the THEATRE dahling, theatre!!

Tallulah is as an engaging and amusing character much in the mould of the perky Georgia, with so many eccentricities to her personality she is bound to thrill the teens and annoy anyone who is too old to understand the twitter generation.
