Ever met someone with your name?

Will Grayson, Will Grayson is a new co-authored book by David Levithan, this time with John Green. And, as the title suggests, it is about two people who just happen to have the same name.

Will Grayson number one is a sarcastic, reserved teenager with larger than life best friend named Tiny, whose writing a musical about him. Unfortunately, Will Grayson thinks it makes him look lame.

Will Grayson number two is a depressed, lost gay kid from nearby suburb who just happens to meet Will Grayson number one when they both end up in the same ill-reputed shop in Chicago one night. He is also not very fond of capital letters, or his ex-best friend Maura.

These two boys, with the help of the fabulously gay and meddlesome Tiny, have some pretty interesting adventures including bad fake ids, a few indie rock bands, worrying about the future and of course a tidy helping of romance. This book is terribly gay in a totally wonderful way and terribly entertaining in a thoughtful way. You will want to hug and shake the characters silly as you become as invested in their lives as they are in each others. A highly entertaining teenage drama/comedy/romance, great for those who loved Nick & Norah’s Infinte Playlist (by David Levithan & Rachel Cohn) or those who are just looking for some romance that doesn’t involve bloodlust. Out now, Paperback, $19.95.
