Sustainable House by Michael Mobbs

In 1996 Michael Mobbs renovated his inner-city Sydney house and incorporated many ideas which were ahead of the times.  His aim was to become as self sufficient as possible in water, energy and waste disposal.  He wrote a book about it which became a best seller, and now we have a new edition of the book.  Lots of people, councils and energy providers have caught up with Michael, although not completely, and the book shares the benefits of all of his experiences, both good and bad.  You can dip into which ever area most interests you, and there is a wealth of information about sustainable building practices.  Paperback, $45
