Get the kids cooking!

The Silver Spoon is the best-selling bible of authentic Italian cooking, translated into English a few years ago. Always a good seller especially around Christmas, this year there’s a new member of the Silver Spoon family. The Silver Spoon for Children is a simplified, thinned out version of the adults cookbook. It would make a great gift for any kid who was glued to Masterchef on tv this year, or those who simply love cooking. This has been thus far really popular, and has gone out of stock at the distributor (lucky we just pulled some out of a box), so come and get yours before their gone!

Hardback, $29.95.

Also Available.

The Silver Spoon, $69.95

The Silver Spoon Book of Pasta, $59.95

Ten books children need

We have probably talked about our recommended books for babies, toddler and preschoolers before.  Now we have extended the section in the shop to have  First readers, Juniors, In betweens and soon, 10 great books for teenage boys and teenage girls.   We have produced a brochure which has the lists for the first four, and are working on producing one for the next four.  It is in colour so it has most of the front covers of the books illustrated, for easy recognition.  We found the earlier list we had printed, which was for babies and toddlers, was used as a check list, as people built their collections.

We have put quite a lot of time into putting these recommendations together, and they are all books which we think are really good reads for children.   They are our opinions, and have not been influenced by any publishers.  Come in and pick up a flyer, and have a look at all the books.  Our aim is to have all of the books in stock, all of the time, but that isn’t always under our control, as publishers do run out of titles occasionally.  Heather
